A nice, enjoyable set of Archie stories. The writing may not be especially noticeable but it's pleasant enough. Harry Lucey's art is the star here. He even has some risk-taking in his layouts with that final page of 'the First Peace'. Still, it's nice to see writer Frank Doyle's name snuck into the art of the last story. A nice job by Joe Edwards on the li'l Jinx story as well.

ReplyDeleteLucey's art really hit his peak (in my opinion) around this time. I remember buying this book back in the day and it still holds up.
