All these stories have pretty abrupt endings but the trips getting there are pretty fantastic. They're all great entertainment. Looking at them you can see the stories looking back to the anything-goes theatrical cartoons of the '30s AND looking forward to the anything-goes underground comix of the '60s... and that despite the generally gentle & friendly tone of these stories.
I do disagree with Felix's conclusion in the first story: I mean, anything can be put to evil means. Case in point, poor Afred Nobel being blamed for people murdering other people with his dynamite. Would it have been better for miners to keep killing themselves in accidents with nitroglycerin? (And, yeah, I know Nobel got quite rich... I mean in the conscience-stricken way.)
I wish I could identify who wrote and drew these fun tales but nothing in the GCD. I did enjoy the old Felix cartoons as well. Didn't know until recently that Felix was an influence on Mickey Mouse.
