Well, if you're going to read an Archie knock-off, you can't go too wrong with the one by the top-line Archie artists. The most successful title from the Tower line beating out the often equally goofball--and nothing wrong with that--THUNDER AGENTS. True, Tippy and her pals are a little on the colorless side, but the stories are all right and the art appealing.
Yeah they were fun tales by Samm Schwartz and company. I did not know Tippy outsold the Thunder Agents. I wonder if Samm got in trouble with Archie comics when he went back?
I double-checked against the Grand Comics Database and THUNDER AGENTS lasted twenty issues and TIPPY TEEN lasted twenty-five, so I would assume the latter out-sold the former but I could be wrong. Martin Goodman's Atlas even republished her as VICKI, so I would again imagine there was some marketability there (or at least someone else also imagined marketability).
