Yet Even More Comic Book Fun From The Past With Other Strange Stuff Thrown In Just For The Heck Of It.
From Mishon to Musk, prophecy? One weakness in the story is the belief there would be no other rocket scientist left on earth, since rocket experts in the military (both US and Russia) would have rejected Mishon's offer, preferring service to country over profit.Still, a great tale, thanks for the post.
I didn't predict the twist ending but loved the Bill Everett art. I agree with you that military scientists would have rejected the offer.
That is prime Everett art, isn't it? Story-wise the thing that struck me was the price tag. 'Millions', huh? I just checked and even the original moon landing was billions.
Hey, and also money-wise, the story makes a big deal out of where gets his money and never answers it. What, Mars is rich in greenbacks, is it?But to repeat: That is prime Everett art, isn't it?
Yeah these old tales are pretty simplistic but they were for kids. Everett was an amazing artist.
Script by the prolific Paul S. Newman
