  1. Great DeCarlo artwork & fine writing as well. And if this really came out in '66, I think they deserve credit for getting the bands' names right. Even the one made-up band turns out to be a dry-run for the real thing.

    On the other hand, history has shown Archie was being less than honest with Reggie: what he was really doing was holding out for star billing. 'Reggie's Rockers' indeed!

    Oh, yeah. And good show posting the Harry Lucey ad with everything else. 'Gor, blimey!'

  2. Harry Lucey drew some great Betty and Veronica! To me DeCarlo and Lucey were the two greats of Archie comics. I love those old classics just as much as the Marvel books of the 60's.

    I think DeCarlo also co-created Josie and the Pussycats.
