The li'l Jinx story uses the same conceit as the hospital one and therefore is less impressive though delivered equally well.
The first two Archie stories are good if standard Archie stories. Like Harvey Kurtzman, I fail to see Betty's supposed lack of sex appeal as to Veronica, but it's nice to see her win. Do you think her winning happened more often once the TV cartoon came out?
I like the last one best. There's something about writer's writing out of last minute desperation that sparks creativity. There's EC's 'My World', but there's also the Beatles' 'Nowhere Man'.
I think Betty won a few times....especially in her book. I don't know about this book but I seem to be finding a lot of double entrendes in these tales that I didn't see years earlier.
A fine issue taken altogether.

'as compared to Veronica', I mean.
