The Archie ones are all well-done--I particularly like the first page of 'Sand Crab'--but they're all well-worn plots as well: cascading mishaps at the beach, collision-caused photo switcheroo, repeated delivery disasters. But again with 'Sand Crab', I'm all for Mr. Lodge's reaction at the end: I don't hate beaches in general, but most of the people he encounters don't deserve one.
I really liked the Joe Edwards li'l Jinx page. It was a clever idea given just enough space to put you off guard. However, the comic book love of exclamation points does throw off the point a bit!! (Just like that, I mean.)
By the way, I enjoyed the March 7 posting of 'The Masher'. I guess that's an idea that they used more than once as well, but they pulled off the physical comedy quite nicely there.
Li'l Jinx really was a lot of fun...Joe Edwards was a great cartoonist an Harry Lucey was one of the greats...in my opinion. Early sixties Archie tales are my favorites glad you enjoy them too.
