  1. Subject-wise how very EC, but with a much more open layout than Feinstein set up for their artists.

    Jim Mooney was a great artist and a great foil for Steve Gerber's weirdness at Marvel. He's my personal favorite MAN-THING artist.

  2. I do like Mike Ploog's art on Man Thing too. My favoriye Mooney art was on Dial H For Hero.

Mike Ploog was good, too, but that was kinda weird + weird (or idiosyncratic + idiosyncratic, if you prefer), whereas Mooney's more... um... matter-of-fact art, let's call it, provided a contrast & grounding. BUT it's just a personal preference, not untinged by nostalgia since the earliest MAN-THING issues I had were from Mooney's run.

    All that being stated, if you have any Mike Ploog material to post, I'd enjoy seeing it.
