This is a decent story in and of itself, but Darren's characterization doesn't match the TV show... it matches what most of the witches & warlocks say about him on the TV show. Beyond the basic premise, I think the biggest thing the adapters came away with was apparently that Elizabeth Montgomery is hot.
Dell comics seems to have adapted every classic 60's TV show I can remember...except Batman. I didn't realize the art was by Henry Scarpelli I thought it might have been Tony Tallarico.
I think Fraccio penciled and Tallarico inked. I always remembered Scapelli as more of an Archie style artist but GCD credits him as artist on this book.

ReplyDeleteI was actually thinking the same thing... or Bill Fraccio, perhaps (when they worked together I'm rather hazy on who should be credited for what)...
ReplyDeleteNot to say it's not Scarpelli. Just to say it looks a lot like the other guy(s) to me.
