'Space Hobo': The story's either flat & kinda lame... OR INCREDIBLY AWESOME! That end reveal of their insanely limitless power--that ANYONE can learn in A DAY, mind you--coming on so suddenly left me with a 'Holy shit!'
ReplyDeleteThere's also the fact that the story of our 'Space Hobo' actually plays a lot like 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull'!
The story is even historical accurate about early American colonial life with specialists forced to focus on survival level tasks and the different types that commercial colonialists wanted no part of.
I liked 'New Star' too though I found the ending a little weak. However, if you think about all the infectious bacteria & viruses on our planet, that comment about being 'as safe as Earth' isn't saying much. KEEP THE HELMETS ON, BOYS!
