That's stunning art and a stunning sense of design, though Dr. Dodd's rather lacking in cultural sensitivity... or sensitivity of any kind:'Let me remind you of the tragic death of your husband, torn apart by crocodiles before your very eyes. Just a passing thought... must keep things in perspective...' Granddad's been a particularly bad influence on the little girl... those are some nasty reactions to other cultures she has...
Still, the art is stunning. I was taken by the beautiful depictions of the zeppelin over the evening skies and there's plenty more striking imagery on the pages following. And, of course, those are boss dinosaurs.
Sam Glanzman was an artist who'a work I didn't really appreciate back in the day but I enjoy his work a lot more now. I remember his work in the DC war comics of the 60's and 70's but I was really into the Joe Kubert and Russ Heath. Glanzman always seemed like a back-up artist to me but I was wrong. He was great.
