You know, people don't usually talk him up, but I think Bill Vigoda was a darn good Archie artist, though perhaps he took his stylic cues from the more iconic guys. Other art I've seen by him seems more in the DeCarlo line, while this kind of looks like Lucey crossed with Frese. To me,at least... More knowledgeable fans might disagree...
ReplyDeleteYou know Bill Vigoda was Abe Vigoda's brother! I love his work. My friend just gave me an original Bill Vigoda Archie newspaper strip from the 60's. It's my favorite now!
